     So, we are "textile fanatics" here & we do our homework.  We have tremendous respect for all those who participate in the creation of our collections.  It's ALL about supporting the ART, artists, designers, & artisans.  We try to find the best and most unique at the best price available.  Often, we are several years ahead of trending & find our looks copied & knocked off later.  We try hard to avoid those pirates.  We are ORIGINAL if nothing else!

 

    For Couture, it is in Europe that we often find the MOST FASHION FASHION clothing & accessories at the best price-points.  Many of our one-off pieces are created by those small artisan groups who grow the fibers, spin, weave, knit, felt, design & sew items especially to safron's specifications & may only be found here!

 

      We even take our Art-to-Wear quite literally in many cases with lines such as our French Aventure des Toiles, who purchase wall ART from upcoming artists in multi-media & have their amazingly creative design teams create clothing INSPIRED by the art.  Still, these are textile artists, so we get more than some gorgeous digitally printed scarves & fabrics!  We get knits, embroideries, laces, & textures used in such brilliant ways:  coats, blouses, sweaters, dresses, & accessories uniquely inspired & never copied.
